  • Bloodwork helps the doctor to assess the internal health and well-being of your pet. We have the ability to run in house bloodwork on site to include a complete blood count (CBC), a chemistry panel, electrolytes, and urinalysis. After obtaining samples from your pet, we can have results within 15 minutes.
  • Idexx reference laboratories are available for more advanced testing with results within 1-3 days for most tests
  • We have a Digital X-ray machine for the highest quality images available. These can be e-mailed or burned to a CD for immediate referral or for your own records if necessary
  • We have Digital dental radiography available for patients who need extractions to best identify and treat dental disease
  • We offer adjuvant free Purevax vaccines for our feline patients to minimize the risk of vaccine injection site reactions
  • We have an exam room dedicated specifically to our feline patients to minimize the stress of vet visits
  • Our operating room is equipped with circulating warm water pads, heated surgery tables, sevoflurane and isoflurane gas anesthetics. All patients blood oxygenation, EKG, and blood pressure are monitored during anesthesia using our Surgivet monitoring equipment.
  • We have HESKA IV fluid pumps to ensure proper delivery of medications and fluids to your hospitalized or anesthetized pet
  • We have an in-house ultrasound for bladder ultrasounds and pregnancy sonograms.
  • An outside veterinary consultant is available to come to our hospital and perform detailed ultrasounds of the heart and abdomen to further evaluate heart disease and to help rule out cancer and other problems such as foreign objects.
  • We have an online pharmacy that will deliver your pet’s food and medications directly to your home
  • We have a board certified veterinary surgeon that performs advanced surgical procedures in our hospital such as knee surgery.
  • For those patients that require more extensive care or testing, we refer to the NCSU Veterinary School in Raleigh or Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Cary
  • We have regular monthly staff meetings to discuss the latest techniques and customer service and ways we can improve to serve you better and continue to provide your pet with the best medical care possible.
  • We are AAHA certified which means we have high standards for cleanliness and organization and are inspected regularly to insure that we maintain these standards.
  • We are committed to less fortunate animals and are actively involved in the community and offer discounted spay/neuter and Rabies clinics.
  • We offer clinics for rabies vaccines, heartworm tests, feline leukemia and FIV tests.
  • You can apply for a veterinary credit card (Care Credit) online through our website. Interest free options and low monthly payments are available so you can choose the best health care for your pet.
  • We support our local food banks, My Sister’s House, United Community Ministries, The Bassett Center, the Pregnancy Care Center, and Open Door Ministry of Faith.
